VERIZON BROADBAND INTERNET RIPOFF

Poor internet speed for $70!!!!

My spouse and I have been Verizon broadband internet customers since the GW Bush Era. that's about 11 years! OVER A DECADE!

We got off of AOL after a MAJOR FIGHT because no matter how much we tried to end our sub par over-priced internet from AOL, they kept refusing to end our service, until we finally got it to end.

So, we went with VERIZON.

At the time, our internet speed was about an average of 2.8-2.9 MBPM but often went over 3. Even when Obama was president we could test over 5 MBPM!

Since about 2012 the internet service OFTEN was poor, and kept getting worse.

When we got our first smartphones, we could actually have up to 4 people on wifi streaming videos PLUS watch Netflix.

GOOD LUCK trying to get ANY video AT ALL to stream in HD, let alone HQ...

Poor video quality

Mind you, Verizon unilaterally jacks up the price, without our consent! WE DO NOT CONSENT TO THE PRICE HIKE.

Whenever you would chat with Verizon on twitter they could temporarily fix it. I should have to COMPLAIN every week to you guys to FIX IT! For $70!!!

At some point I figured out I could rerout the speed through the speed test, and Google video report. Good luck with that now.

I used to have to go in manually EVERY TIME to rerout the speed myself JUST to watch a VIDEO I paid $70 for sub par internet! NOW it doesn't even work!

Mind, you EVERYONE IN THIS HOUSE HOLD IS AN ARTIST. We UPLOAD graphics, videos, audio... NOTHING uploads now! NOTHING. you can;t even get Snapchat to work though the wifi! and, the iPhone actually will rerout to the data. Good luck trying to get Instagram to work! Netflix plays COMPRESSED! Trying to use Flickr is a NIGHTMARE! You can't upload, or edit anything in the editor! Oh? You want to upload a WAV or an AIF file!? TOO BAD! Sad day for YOU!

I actually had some work back in June that I was PAID well for but my internet wouldn't let a basic upload sync to DropBox! Talk about EMBARRASSING! Back in NOVEMBER it worked JUST FINE!

Also, my WHITE NEIGHBORS that pay VERIZON get regularly good internet... usually. So, maybe they're all starting to get ripped off also... soon.

Oh, but the WANG house hold! No we get RIPPED OFF!

Guess how much we get charged! About $70!

As I was chatting with Verizon yesterday, guess how many times they changed their story!

Oh, they often use the same line "this is what you can expect within YOUR contract"  Funny thing is back in the GW Bush Era my CONTRACT was at 2.8-2.9 MBPS AVERAGE but often tested OVER 3, and during the Obama Era we could even get up to 5! So, NOW you're lying to me that my contract says 2.4 MBPS and I pay MORE! REALLY?

WHO DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO???

Then I PROVED they were LYING:

VERIZON'S OWN Local WEYMOUTH AD!

VERIZON's OWN AD PRICE PLUS LOCAL COMPETITORS!

Then they CHANGED THEIR STORY.

"You don't have a contract, you are just a month by month customer".

Oh, really? Which is it?
My CONTRACT or NOT A CONTRACT????

BUSTED!

Funny how when being called out on THAT LINE about the CONTRACT all of a sudden the STORY CHANGES.

Isn't that malfeasance?

YESTERDAY This page was FULL of VERIZON ads with cheaper prices and BETTER DEALS ALL DAY & NIGHT! So, where did it all go??? HMMMMM??????
If the price is going up, then WHY is the speed & service GOING DOWN?

DON'T give me any of that BUNK about: well: you didn't upgrade...

For $70 PRICE JACK no upgrades??? WHO DOES THAT MAKE SENSE TO????

No, you JUST want to trick us, deceptively into some package deal, or FORCE us to BUY SOMETHING ELSE! That's ILLEGAL!

This is a violation of Antitrust Law.

It's ALSO a violation of the ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER ACT. Funds (ie "instrument") were accepted IN GOOD FAITH by a "consumer" for a thing of value or service.

See also:

Title 3 Section 603
UCC 3-419
UCC 3-603

According to the Social Contract during the Clinton Era, it was allowed that services such as cable Tv and internet COULD charge a fee for upgrades to services as to allow for continuation of better quality services... however, it DOES NOT allow for jacking up prices and reducing quality to artificially inflate stock and share prices.

You CANNOT operate under IMPLIED CONSENT.

Go to Google, Yahoo, or any Search engine type in your zip code and key words "broadband internet" and see if YOU are ALSO being ripped off. Check YOUR bill!

This is NOT how you treat a LONG TIME CUSTOMER!
YOU ARE CHEATING US!

YOU OWE US!

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Oh, and BTW the Router we have has lights that NO LONGER WORK, but reps on the phone are like: Oh, that's fine! Really? I pay $70 per month! Funny how you swapped us out for a new router back in the Obama Era!

Don't give me your lies and excuses about contracts, and no contracts, and imaginary upgrades... and act like it's the CONSUMER'S fault! LEGALLY ur on the hook for better business practices!

It's 2017! Did you ACTUALLY think we'd just SIT HERE and TAKE IT???

YOU ARE FRAUDS AND HUMBUGS!

Planet Fitness $10 Sham

This is my informative post to let people know about the misleading promotions and false advertising, that altho' is illegal, still goes on in this nation (USA).

Buyer Beware.

So, this is what the main promotion on the website looks like.

There are also commercials circulating out there (which is how I know of it)   that tell you it's $10 a month, a week for free, to try it, and no commitment. It's a strait-up lie, and false advertising.

It is NOT $10, and there IS A FORCED COMMITMENT.

And, they won't let you do anything UNTIL YOU PAY IT.

They don't ACTUALLY want my $10, they want to sign up a sucker and exploit you with fees.

If the price IS NOT $10, and the actual PROMOTION is NOT $10, then THAT IS FRAUD. Also known as "selective disclosure" i.e. FRAUD. Ergo, it's illegal.

Just advertise the ACTUAL PRICE.

* Edit: 11/13/2015
Another Follow-up:

Planet Fitness, in writing, fully admitting the engage in deceptive "selective disclosure" advertising, and ALSO conduct business illegally, by forcing member to pay ONLY with credit/debit cards.
Dollar bills, and coins are "LEGAL TENDER", so you CANNOT REFUSE THEM. You CAN refuse credit cards from companies you don't do business with, or even if you do not accept credit cards on the basis of not having a credit card machine, and you may also refuse accepting checks, but you cannot refuse customers/consumers from paying in cash at all.

Anyone that has EVER been in business for them self, including myself, KNOWS THIS.

Hi Kandice, we checked with the Weymouth location to confirm the different membership options and their prices at sign-up. They currently have two options, one for the Black Card and one for $10/month. The Black Card membership is currently $19.99 with no start-up fee and no-commitment. The $10/month membership has a $10 start-up fee and is also no-commitment meaning you can cancel any time without paying a cancellation fee. That means if you wanted to sign-up for the $10/month membership, you'd be required to pay $10 plus a prorated monthly fee of $1.64, which would be a total of $11.64 at sign-up. You can view both membership options here: planetfitness.com/offers/174. To clarify, the memberships are billed through a checking account and automatically withdrawn on or around the 17th of each month. We do not accept cash for monthly dues at this time but you may pay the start-up fee in cash. We hope this helps clear up any misunderstandings.

Selling Used Panties Websites: Sham

I saw on the news tonight this whole thingy about selling your used panties.

But, as I looked into it, it just seemed like they didn't really do their research, and haven't tried it, and don't know anyone who does, and are basing their presentation of the news in their coverage based JUST on what the websites are marketing themselves as.

The top sites, come up and totally self aggrandize themselves and make it sounds as tho' selling your used panties is easy, and that "you can make real money". All the while with those same old tired advertizing tricks (and yeah I'm a student of advertizing since the 90s) of showing a hot model with a wad of cash. I can tell u that NO job I've EVER had through the internet has EVER paid out like that.

I did once have a business where I made big money doing charcoal & pastel portraits in the mall, and after a LONG December of being overworked, and exhausted, yeah, we had wads & stacks of cash... but, those days are long gone...

So, it sounded simple... like I said... U have ur old used panties, maybe u even have a photo, or tell some story, and some guy on the internet finds it interesting and u can sell ur panties... the most common theoretical thing people brought up in the news or on blogs (even tho' they had NEVER actually done it) was "Oh, an extra $10."

Honestly, can u even buy NEW panties at that price? So, if I have $40 panties, and sell them just because I wore them and it was somehow arousing to a man, that's some how "good money" or "extra money"?

No, it's not!

But, it's also NOT THAT SIMPLE!

Let me tell you, I'm a businessman... I've been selling things for years, online, in malls, conventions, and private sales... I've even sold discrete artistic nudes of myself in the past, or even been paid to model nude for artist sketching, or photography, or just webcam... artful, tasteful...

-and, yeah, I've even given worn panties as gifts of favors to men, when I was younger.

But, these so-called top sites (Yeah! They're top sites, just go ahead, and ask them! I'm sure they'll tell you!) won;t even let you inspect their goods, their seller, their buyers, their communities, etc.

Like I said, I'm a businessman, I want to see WHO is selling, WHAT they are selling, WHO the top sales persons are. But, NO, you can't see that. No, you MUST pay just to LOOK at that.

So, is this a market, or is it just closet porn?

Even E-bay doesn't do that!

1 site I went to had 3 levels of membership... but, yet they swore that it was simple, easy, and you can make good money... Oh, really? where's the proof? Funny, 'cause I can;t see any... unless I pay you.

This whole idea that selling your panties for $10 is somehow a good marketing idea is obviously made by someone whom knowns nothing about business...

Now, since I just had surgery, I'm out of work, and I've been unemployed for a long time now. I'm on foostamps...

The idea of selling my used panties, at 1st, sounded appealing... I know how men are... even friendly types... men, like weird things like used panties from some woman... it's a guy thing... but, then again, people pay big dollars for used jersies from Basketball players, or clothing worn by athletes in major league games...

But, if just to LOOK at the entirety of the websites costs me money, I loose money right there, and if it costs $20 for a whole month, then if u sell ur panties at $10, you lost money right there... and, eventually, even if your panties are selling, your gonna run out of them. So, are you even making a profit to buy new ones?

Now, where the heck would that money even come from? My foodstamps? (like that couldn't even work... it wouldn't)

No, you WON'T make money! You will LOOSE money!

But, that's what sites like this are counting on: Your gullibility!

Honestly, if I were to sell my used panties, I'd sell them privately, NOT through a 3rd party as much as possible, person to person, directly.

I'm no longer going to be suckered by these charlatans ...
But, hey, look... it's a free market...

I do have a bundle of panties I'm not using (that I have used) and yeah, I need moneys... so, if there is a gentleman interested in purchasing any of my panties to help out a woman suffering from surgical recovery all month, let me know privately, respectfully, and discretely.
I say "Gentleman" and that I DO NOT MEAN a rude, crude, perverted jerk that doesn't know how to address nor talk to a woman.

Altho', I'm sure, most likely no one at all will want to buy anything from me... but, whatever...
